I was married in Jamaica and never filed anything in the states. How can I obtain a divorce in NC?

Yes, you can.  A divorce in the US is allowed under these circumstances  as long as one of you meets the state's residency requirements (which vary from state-to-state). Additionally, it only takes one of you to meet the residency requirements, not both.

It makes no difference where in the world you were married.

The plaintiff or defendant in the suit for divorce must have resided in the State for a period of 6 months prior to filing.  The divorce may be filed in the either county in which the parties reside.
