I was married for 24 years and at the time of my divorce they said I had to pay for the rest of her life or until she remarries.

Question Details: I have been paying for 10.5 years. I live in the state of CA. What can I do to end the spousal support as of next year we will both be getting the same income.

In a marriage of over ten years the court cannot terminate its jurisdiction over spousal support. However, you may be able to ask the court to modify or abite the order if circumstances have changed.
