What to do if I was just arrested for first offense misdemeanor DUI and I have 2 other charges failure to maintain and leaving the scene.

I don't know what is going to happen next. I cannot afford a lawyer and I make to much for a public defender I'm stuck and do not know which way to turn. My suggestion is that whenever one has been arrested for a criminal offense that he or she try and retain a criminal defense attorney for representation. Many criminal defense attorneys will take payments over time or by credit card.
I recommend that you consult with your county bar association for a referral to a criminal defense attorney who might be able to represent you on a private placement basis with payment over time since you do not qualify for the public defender.
You might also see if a friend could loan you some money as well for a retainer for a criminal defense attorney.
