If I was hit by a drunk driver 20 months ago, is it too late to file a lawsuit for pain and suffering?
Question Details: I was given money from his insurance company for the value of my vehicle because it was totaled. I started to receive treatment for pain after the accident but I left shortly after because I moved out of state.
If you sustained a "serious injury" the Statute of Limitations has not yet run. However, check the general release you signed. It may have covered all of your potential claims.
