I was fired/forced to resign. I chose to resign when told by HR that I would still receive unemployment. I was denied benefits saying I quit.
Question Details:
I was not permitted to stay employment and had not chose and the employer modified my dismissal letter after I chose resignation to read instead, that I, "would have been let go, however I chose to resign." Is this an error by the adjudicator or do I not have a good case for an appeal? I thought it was clear I did not leave voluntarily but being initially denied, I am now concerned.
File an appeal for unemployment benefits immediately. Otherwise, retain an attorney. Please feel free to contact me for a free consult. Best Regards,
