I want to get out of my lease but I can't afford to keep paying rent if I move out.

Question Details: It's a big mess, but I want to get out of my lease. I overflowed the kitchen sink and am now being held responsiblefor 2500 which is the homeowners insurance deductible. I moved in with the agreement my dog could live here too and now they told me he is no longer allowed here. I am willing to pay monthly installments for the 2500 but do not want to be living here due to the hostile environment.

If you caused damage, you are responsible. If LL has insurance, then you should not have to pay. If deductible is $2,500 and LL has to pay, then you are responsible.  If you move out just because you are liable and can not afford to pay, you will be liable for other damages to the LL as well under the lease (for example, breaking the lease early, for monthly rent until new tenant is found, ad costs, etc.).
