I stole a credit card; what sentence am I facing?
Question Details:
I am being charged 4 felonies and defrauding the elderly. I have since been diagnosed bipolar and checked into rehab for an opiate addiction. I wanted to know how many years in prison I could be facing. I have 1 misdemeanor theft on my record from 15 years ago.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. Felonies are serious. depending on how much money that you stole will determine the time in jail and or fine or both that you are facing. Becasue the penalty depends so much on the amount i would need to know the amounts to give you a more definitive answer. i suggest that you hire a lawyer and show the lawyer the statutes that you are beign charged as having violated. you may be able to wrap all the penalties together where the penalty for 1 includes all 4 felonies.
