I recieved a summons and complaint from Malen and associates...I live in ny. I was wondering what is the best way to reply...I can not afford a lawyer

1. Go to the court you were summonsed to and talk to the clerk. They will help you answer.

2. While at the court try and get a pro bono lawyer for this case.

3. If you are considering bankruptcy contact the NY City Bar's pro bono program (bankruptcy project) and you may be able to eventually get help. Alternatively you could attempt it by yourself, but I don't recommend this.
