What to do if I recently received a citation for public urination?
Question Details: Everyone I have talked to says that it is not a criminal offence, and I should just pay the $30 fine and move one. However, would it be worth it to go to municipal court and try to receive a deferment like you can with similar traffic tickets?
If you do not want to receive a conviction for what you have been charged with, I suggest that you attend court, ask for court probation, do public service work if you get probation, pay the fine and hopefully the charge will be dismissed without a conviction. Such is the best course for you to take.
