Question Details: I pled Nolo to DUI in Miss. while on business. I lived in Ga. at the time. I moved to N.C. before the case was resolved and got an N.C. license. My attorney in Miss. encouraged me to plead Nolo, saying that Miss. would alert Ga. to the DUI, but it would never reach N.C. (and apparently, it didn't). My question is, I'm applying for a job and they've asked if I've EVER been convicted of a crime. I ran a personal background check and the DUI didn't show up. Should I report the DUI on my employment application and risk not getting the job, or keep my mouth shut and hope they don't find it?
An employment background check will cover all states; at least it should. It's your choice as to to what to do.
