If I own houses in 2 different states, does my Will need to be based in the state of my legal residence?
Question Details: How binding will the document be? I have one child but would rather leave most of my estate to charity. I read an article once on John D. Rockefeller leaving the bulk of his estate to charity but his descendants were able to sue the estate and recover most of it.

Your will is located wherever you are located in the world and will be administered in the state of your death, if that is where your real property is located, and anyother state you may have assets such as real property.
