I own a car that was charged off. My ex is the co-signer and says that the sheriff keeps visiting him. I want to pay this off for its worth. Answers?

Dear Inquirer: I'm not sure what you mean by "charged off', however, should you pay off the balance due, your Ex will own it, without any claim or interest in your behalf. Do you really want to gift that to your Ex?
