Question: Business - Arkansas

Asked on 10/28/2009

I need to change my last name

I changed my last name years ago without doing the right paperwork; now I have no way to renew my ID. I would like to keep my mothers maiden name as my last name. Am I able to file the papers myself?

AttorneyPages has verified that this person is an attorney.

It's possible, but it would still be good to have an attorney be able to walk you through the process.  The filing fee that must be paid to the Court is $165.00.  I do name changes for a mere $100.00.  Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
