How do I get a legal document drawn up stating that a person is allowing me to publish their story/experience so I can begin my book?
Question Details:
Do I have to pay for it?
As with any contract, the document needs to clearyly show the intention of the parties...which can go all the way from a simple one page "publicity" authorization to a more robust twelve page publishing and intellectual property agreement...all of which needs "consideration" and should be prepared by an attorney of your choice. This is not an area in which you will wnat to prepare the agreement yourself. By Grace... Shawn Jackson ESQ.
