i made some transactions with investors who stole my money, they signed promissory notes and now will not pay me back, i have tried everything .
Question Details: I made investments with investors who stole my money, they will not respond any longer , i went to attorneys said to forget it,,well 350K is hard to forget. i have promissory notes and went to fbi they wont help either. when i have a promissory note what good is to have this note if it is not being honored in today's court system? What can i do to get my money back or stop them from taking other people's money , they are going on with life as they never took a dime from me and how many others did they take we do not know. I just want to know what i can do to try and get my money back? I
If you have a valid promissory note, you may be able to get a judgment against the investors who took your money. The difficulty here is probably not with obtaining a judgment, but with actually collecting that judgment from the investors. You need to decide whether it is worth it for you to retain an attorney and pay the fees and costs associated with bringing a suit when there is a strong possibility that it is going to be very difficult, if not impossible, to get your money back from these investors.
