What happens if I ignore a summons to submit a motion or answer complaints in bankruptcy court?

Question Details:

I'm general partner in a Texas oil drilling partnership that was forced into involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I live in San Diego. I have received a summons from the United States Bankruptcy Court in TX to submit a motion or answer complaints outlined in the summons in 30 days. I'm 72, with income from social security and a small pension (total monthly cca $2,200). I have no assets, savings of $7,000 and credit card debts of $40,000. I live alone, and have been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease. I use up all my income every month, trying to keep up minimal credit card payments. What do I do about the summons, and what are the consequences if I chose to ignore it?
