I am a New York Criminal Defense Attorney.  We may be able to look the case up online or by calling the court.  Give me a call if you would like to discuss the matter.  It would be my pleasure to speak with you about the case.  Darren M. Shapiro, Esq. 631-882-3140

You can probably get copies from the New York Police Department;  I'd start by finding out which precinct you were in when you got the summons, and go to that police station.  If they can't help you, they may know what you can try after that.  Of course, if you know that someone other than the NYPD issued the summons (Port Authority police, for one example), you have to go to the law enforcement agency whose officer wrote the summons.

Although i do not practice law in the State of New York, here are my initial impressions.  While I generally agree with my colleague's comments, I have some additional advice.  You can also attempt to contact the court that has jurisdiction in the area where you received the summons.  The should have (or will have shortly) a record of when your summons are on the docket.  You can probably receive this information by contacting that court's clerk's office.  It is very important that you find out what day you are scheduled to appear in Court, and that you appear on that day.  Your failure to do so will expose you to additional criminal liability, and having "lost" your summons will not be considered a valid excuse.
