I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  The credit card company may sue and will likely get a judgment against you.  if the credit card company gets a judgment, they may lien your home, but not take your car.  I suggest that you hire a lawyer to make a deal with the credit card company or negotitate a deal yourself.  if you think that you will not be able to pay this debt off, then you may want to consider filing bankruptcy as this will discharge the debt forever.
