I live in california. My car was stolen .It was recovered after 32 days. The insurance company is trying to fix damages and give it back.

Question Details: I still owe money on it and dont wanna be paying on a car that i dont know what these people who stole my car did with it. I dont feel its safe or want it back. Do i have to take it back?

Unfortunately, you really have one of few choices: if you feel the damage cannot be fixed properly, perhaps you can convince the insurance company to give you the money (what it was worth when it was stolen).  Keep in mind, if you do this, they may not agree to pay off the loan and give you money.  It is not totalled, so you don't get the pay off.

Try talking to them and see if you can talk to a supervisor about a possible negotiation on this.
