I just found out I'm not insured for an auto accident, what kind if liability am I facing?

Question Details:

I didn't get my son back on after he was an excluded driver and he got in a car accident. I have no assets. What kind of liability do I have if the other driver decides to sue me?

Under CA law, Vehicle Code Section 17151, the registerd owner of a car has limited liability for damages. The limit is $15,000 for injuries and $5,000 for property damage.  However, you son does not have the same liability limitations.  He can be sued for the full extent of the damages.
