You're going to have to pay attention to that bankruptcy proceeding, and at some point you may have to file a claim. I'd suggest an internet search, to see if you can find a lawyer in your state who is already involved in this, for someone else in your position; you might find you even have some choice here.
Otherwise, you'd best hire someone who does creditor's rights work. Without knowing a lot more about the debtor, the estate and the debts, it's very hard to give you any idea what you can expect to get back.
