You may be eligible for an "expungement" (clearing) of you record.  Since you didn't provide any details I'm not sure whether or not you qualify.  However, here's a site that should answer most of your questions:  http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/other/crimlawclean.htm
