Question: Criminal Defense - Maryland

Asked on 7/14/2009
I have been charged with trespassing a public agency after hrs, failure to comply with lawful order and failure to identy myself. How serious is it??
Is my first ever offence, i dont get into trouble ever. I was drunks on my way home and fell asleep on the metro, missed my stop and was awaken by a metro cop. All i wanted to do was get home so i refused to leave, cuz the stationg where I was at was in the middle of no where and had no trsaportation at that time. The the cop got fustrated with me, as well as i did with him, so when he asked me for ID and i again refused. So i was arrested and spent the nite in jail.

The charges are misdemeanors.  Thus they are not real serious as offenses go.  Assuming this was a first offense you are likely to receive a favorable disposition, such as probation before judgment, assuming the offense occured in MD.  When you go to court, it would be prudent to have counsel.
