I have a ticket that is 8 years old for no proof of insurace and display of impounded plate, what will happen to me?

I have a no proof of insurance and display of impounded plates citation, it's 8 years old. There is no warrant issued. Drivers license was revoked. What will happen when I go see the hearing officer. The vehicle was not in my name and it was impounded. Will I go to jail?

You're going to have to pay the fines and court costs, plus additional costs, etc., for the failure to appear, for the reinstatment of your license, etc.  Yes, that's two "etc.'s" and there might be more, depending on the rest of the facts here.  You're responsible for both offenses because you were driving the car, even if it wasn't yours.

This is likely to be expensive, but I doubt you'll end up going to jail.  If the hearing you're going to is a motor vehicles department, jail isn't in the equation at all. However, you may still have to clear up matters with the court, if you haven't already, and that could put you behind bars for a short time, but I doubt it.
