If I have a personal training contract but the gym is not obeying its terms, how do I get out of it and get a refund?
Question Details:
I have signed up for a training package. Well, I notice that they were taking out the wrong amount on the wrong days. I spoke to one of the mangers he said sorry. I said I want a complete refund because you broke the contracted. He said I cannot do that. the next day he offered me a gift card. How to get my money back and get out of this contract?
In many states, gym memberships are types of contracts over which the state attorney general may have the ability to help with. If this appears to be a fraud, definitely contact the attorney general and inform the gym you have filed the complaint and expect corporate to cancel your membership without cost and refund your money since they are not meeting their end of the bargain. Now, this won't be the case if the company merely had a billing issue that it could fix. By offering a gift card, this is sufficient recompense. If the company was giving you the proper training, that would be different.
