Question: Criminal Defense - Arizona

I have a juvenile felony charge 9 years ago in Illinois. How do I get my rights (vote and bear arms) in Arizona.

I have nothing on my record since than anywhere.

Your juvenile records may or should have been sealed.  Talk to an attorney about the following:

1. Get the juvenile record expunged or sealed.

2. See if it would or qualify for a pardon so that your rights could be restored.

To locate an attorney, try www.attorneypages.com and check his or her record at the Arizona State Bar. Basically, the record has to "go away" in order for it not to show up on background checks so that a) you have your rights back and b) you don't have to report it on job applications.
