I have a J&D case with a court order for myself and son to get counselling. We keep getting show causes over the tx. I've appealed.
Question Details:
I've been issued a show cause for my son refusing to cooperate with his counselor during his appointment. Can I be brought back into J&D court for this show cause now that I've appealed it to circuit?
In other words, now that this case is going to circuit court are the show cause orders valid and is it appropriate to go back to J&D for these with the appeal pending; is there logic in going back to the J&D court to argue over a missed appointment with an appeal in place?

Yes. The Order of the Juvenile Court, unless stayed, remains in effect until there is a new Order.
