I don't want my grandson to come back to my home after he is released on house arrest, what can I do?

Question Details:

I have a grandson who's getting out 12/05 on house arrest. But no one asked me if he could come back here,; and he can't. He was on here before. Who do I contact to stop this? If he walks out of jail he'll steal a car,  go to MN and get felony charges.

If he is a minor, he should have this squared away already through the parole/probation officer.  If he is an adult, you should contact the prison/jail he is in and indicate he is not to come back to your home.  If you want to protect yourself legally, you may wish to seek a restraining order against him in order to prevent his arrival.  If he arrives and there is an order, you can contact the police to arrest him for violation of the order.

Contact a lawyer as soon as possible about this matter. If he is getting out December 5, 2009, you may need what is called an ex parte restraining order.
