Bankruptcy Law Answers

You can write a letter to the debt collector requesting that it stop calling your place of employment. Mail it with return receipt so that you have proof that you mailed it and it was received by the debt collector. Under the law, the collector must cease calling your place of employment once it receives your request. Keep in mind that it can still use other methods to collect from you, including suing you in court.
