If I have a Class B misdemeanor theft charge but there is no conviction on my record since it has been sealed, am I able to work at a daycare?
In Massachusetts, if your record has been sealed, you can answer on any job application that you have no record, or that you have not been convicted of any crime. If a potential employer obtained a copy of your CORI, sealed charges would not appear. Only law enforcement agencies and courts have access to the sealed record.
