I got hit by a car while walking across the street in a crosswalk. do i have a case?
Question Details: I am underage, and was intoxicated, the light was red and i did not have the right of way. My foot was run over and shattered my 2nd metatarsal. I didn't flee the site, but i went to a near by building where a police officer came and talked to me until i was taking away by an ambulance.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. Unfortunately, you contributed to your injury. If the car had the right of way and was not driving eratically, you will most likely be found at fault by a jury. Moreover, a jury will not be sypathetic to you as you were underage and drunk. I suggest being more careful.
