I got a ticket in new jersey for open beer container but noone else in the car did?
Question Details: i was the passenger in my car when we got pulled over, i was drunk and passed out but my friend got a dui and i got open bottle ticket in nj. we had another friend in the back seat and i'm the only one who got a ticket and the open bottle was in the cup holder between me and the driver, i did say the beer was mine cause i was worried about my friend getting a dui but i believe the law says we should have all got tickets. do i fight this or just pay it and do i get points on my license?
