If I found a staple in my food after I bit it and now my tooth hurts, can I sue the restaurant?

Generally you must have suffered some type of econonic damage to bring a successful injury claim or case against the restaurant.  Simply having a sore tooth is not enough.  If you had a significant injury and needed to seek medical attention or lost time from work, then you would have a valid cliam to pursue.
