Question: Divorce, Marriage, Alimony - Pennsylvania

Asked on 8/13/2009
I filed for divorce in Oct 2008, no fault, now my husband refuses to sign. he lives in another state, and i cannot afford another lawyer
I live in Pa my husband has lived in WV for almost 3 years. He initially agreed on a no fault divorce received the papers and then changed his mind and refuses to send them back. we have 1 son who he pays support for but we have no assets together. I assumed all the debt. I just want out and I cannot afford another lawyer. Since the original contact he has moved and will not give a valid address to receive mail, so I am at a loss. Does anybody know where I can begin with this or what steps I need to take to handle this type of situation. Any advice would be appreciated......Kim

Kim, I'm really sorry to hear about this.  But, I can only practice law in Washington and California , not where you live.

If you can't affor a new attorney, I'd see if there's anything the police/sheriff can do for you.  Good luck.
