Employment and Labor Law Answers

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  Under most wage statutes, an employer is liable for double damages for not paying wages in a timely manner.  If your employer failed to pay you and you lost your home, you have a cause of action against your employer for damages relating to the wages.  You are not likely going to get damages for losing the home.  I sugest hiring a lawyer to make a wages claim against the employer.  if you win, you may be able to recover your legal fees under the wage statute.
