What to do about warrant for failure to appear?

Question Details:

About 10 years ago I believe there was a warrant issued for FTA in court for driving without a current drivers license. I would like to clear this up, and eventually try to get my license back, but am uncertain and a little frightened by what this would entail. I'm low-income on SSDI, and can't afford a lawyer or to use sites that charges fees to look up warrant statuses.

You could call the court that the warrant was issued by and ask them the amount of the warrant.  Normally what is required is for you to appear at that court, post the bond set on the warrant or see if they will just re-set a court date for you to clear it up. Sometimes the payment of a fine and court costs can clear it up.  If you call the court clerk of the county that issued the warrant, they may be able to tell you what you need to do.
