What to do if I bought a property at a county tax sale and after the county foreclosed, the previous owner put a mobile home on the property?
Question Details: At the tax sale, they told me that anything on the property will be included in the sale. What notice if any do I need to give the previous owner before I move into the house?
If you purchased the subject property at a tax sale you have no obligation to give the prior owner notice before you move into the property. The mobile home is not a fixture and the prior owner is entitled under the law to retrieve it since you ended up buying the land and all structures on it.
