If I bought a house before I got married, can he take the house from me in a divorce?
Question Details: The loan is in my maiden name and his name is not on the deed or anything else that has to do with the house. The taxes, etc. are in my name.

Any property that you owned prior to your marriage will remain your property, unless you add your spouse (in some way) to the title on the property. Since you have not refinanced the property or added your spouse to the Deed on the property, your spouse is not entitled to any ownership interest in your home.
