Changing attorneys

I am not confident w/ my current divorce attorney. I want another attorney but this one has been paid. Is this bad to change attorneys?

We have not yet verified this person is an attorney.

It's bad to keep an attorney in whom you have lost confidence. It is however costly to switch.
