I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  If you fail to pay on the car, the car may be subject to repossession if the creditor gets a judgment and is able to seek money damages, including its attorney's fees for nonpayment.  I suggest that if you think that you cannot afford to pay for the car that you file for bankruptcy to have this as well as other debts forever discharged.  this will prevent the creditors from coming after you for any and all debts.  i suggest consulting with a lawyer before you file for bk.
