Question: Bankruptcy - California

Asked on 8/5/2009
I am an SSDI recipient and due to financial hardship, I have a debt col issuing a lien against my direct deposit for SSDI. I live in CA..
I was issued a document - "Notice of Levy" with a list of exemptions - SSDI benefits, Dwelling house, jewelry, etc was on that list. But when I researched this, what I found was to the contrary. I would appreciate your assistance.
