If I'm already paying child support, can my ex take me back to court for school fees if our child is over 18 years old?

Both parties must agree to support the child through 4 years of college. In Maryland, it appears that once the child reaches 18, support automatically terminates.  The exception is if the child is still in high school, then support ends the following year.
