If I am about 60 days into divorce proceedings but we have now reconciled, how can I stop the proceedings and what form I need to file?
Question Details:
A divorce isn't final until the judge signs a final decree of divorce. If you no longer need the divorce, you just need to file an agree motion to dismiss. Both of you will need to sign it, especially if your spouse counter-sued for divorce (essentially filed his/her own petition against yours). If you had an attorney during this process, you just need to call them to and let them know to file the dismissal or non-suit paperwork. If you didn't have an attorney, you may be able to contact one and pay a very nominal fee for them drafting you one so that it does get properly dismissed.
