What to do about a small estate?
Question Details: My father reccently passed. After doing some research online I believe that his estate does not exceed $150,000. The estate only consists of a house (I believed to be valued around 80,000) and some vehicles. Am I correct that since the vehicles are registered, they are not to be considered assets and therefore not part of the estate? With the house valued under $100,000 I only need to file a petition to determine succession to real property?

The vehicles are considered assets of the gross estate, whether they are registered or not.
