What to do if I'm a renter and have a guest staying in my house that my landlord is trying to kick out?

Whether your landlord can expel your house guest depends upon the terms of your lease. If your lease agreement states that only you will stay at your house (or only you and specific other people that do not include your current guest), then your landlord can insist that this guest not remain. However, his legal ability to expel this person before Sunday would seem doubtful. That said, it would be best for your longterm relationship with the landlord if you could work this out amicably.
