Felons are typically not allowed to physically possess a firearm, but that does not mean that your wife can not possess one. My advice is to be sure your wife registers her firearm and obtain the proper permits to possesit and carry it if need be. You must make sure you are never found in possession of it until you obtain the necessary clearances.
