I am a criminal justice student who will graduate in 6 months I was offered defer ed sentence will this effect my future Carreer

Question Details: I was charged and arrested for Demestic Viloence and harressment and the DA is offereing me 37 classes and 18 months probation and a defered sentence My question is if all is compleat will this effectmy future carrer?

It depends on what you career is and what exactly the offer is - a deferred sentence means at the end the charges are dismissed if you comply with all conditions - and then you could seal the record of it  through a separate 'record sealing' action(if it is completely dismissed) so it would not show up on a background check. If it is a straight plea of guilty and probation, then the public record will always be there, and it might affect your future job prospects.
