What would happen to a person who faked a divorce and then married someone else?

Question Details:

Married 17 years. Husband created a fake divorce settlement and signed my name (did not go to court- I knew nothing about it). Married another woman. Used false divorce document to remove me from health and life insurance. Put his new wife on the health insurance and she used it for 6 months. What are my rights beyond basic divorce settlement? Implications he could face?

He could face serious consequences for falsifying court documents and misrepresenting the status of his marriage.  You have rights to continued health insurance coverage if required in the divorce judgment.  Your rights in divorce would be a fair property division and alimony if you are financially dependent upon him. While his actions are egregious and conduct is considered in the divorce, it may not effect the outcome otherwise.  Your rights are best determined by seeking a divorce.  You are welcome to consult with me further at 978-561-1196.

That is fraud and bigamy.  Your rights under a divorce are the same as everyone else.  This usually involves financial matters, and other matters to the extent that you have children.
