How would I go about helping my finance who is a inmate if his grandmother left him some money and he is having a hard time trying to get a death certifcate?

Call the funeral/cremation provider about getting a death certificate.  They usually obtain a large number of them and can provide one.  If that does not work, request one from the Vital Records department.  They are a public record.
