How to know when all is lost except to file for bankruptcy

Question Details: I am a home builder who has been out of work for 8 months in a small town in GA. We have 2 children cannot find enough sustainable work to keep going, have been through savings and IRA, have only a little cash left, mortgage will work with us, but recently got litigation letter from business Credit card. But the fact remains ar this time no appreciable income . Is bankruptcy the only thing left for us? Need advise

It may not be the only answer, but it may be a feasible answer.   It depends on how many other debts you have and can you pay for the necessities of every day life with what you have, utilities, gas, etc.?  If the only problem you are facing at present is the one card, perhaps they will work with you as is the mortgage company.  I would suggest that you talk with a bankruptcy attorney who can get more in depth information to see where you need to go.
